“How did it all come to this?” Marsh’k wondered in abject blissfulness, oblivious to the detail that if he’d ever had eyebrows he would probably have lost them as well. Twenty minutes ago they’d been in complete control of the situation, and now it was all over bar the shhisgah. Wisps of smoke still rising from his singed skin and slightly burned armor, Marsh’k sank back against the concrete and surrendered himself to the blackness.

The last Ruminarii warriors and the Atro City mob surrounding them turned back to the business at hand. They eyed each other hungrily, and prepared themselves. The Gimp had nowhere to go now, and the end was in sight! The last surviving Captain-Corporal hissed menacingly, bringing his blood-smeared sword to the ready in a manner that could only be described as glorious, heroic and incredibly romantic in a hairless, scaly sort of way – and of course, incredibly brave. A few gunshots rang out, and then – almost as one, screaming – the mob surged forward one last time.
